Since my childhood, art has been my lifelong passion and the primary way I express my convictions. As a black artist based in Dallas, Texas, I take immense pride in my culture and feel incredibly grateful for the gift of creativity and the ability to create. My artistic repertoire encompasses a wide spectrum, ranging from biblical art to abstract expressions. I set forth to challenge stereotypes, provoke thought, and to inspire.

This artwork, "Homage: Tulsa," serves as a heartfelt tribute to the resilient community of the black township in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It commemorates both the lives lost and the forcible displacement of 10,000 black families during a dark chapter in American history. The two prominent images in the foreground symbolize the enduring strength of the black community, which preservers and thrives despite facing extreme violence and attempts at extermination. The artwork stands as a testament to the resilience, spirit, and triumph of the black community in the face of adversity.
