Since my childhood, art has been my lifelong passion and the primary way I express my convictions. As a black artist based in Dallas, Texas, I take immense pride in my culture and feel incredibly grateful for the gift of creativity and the ability to create. My artistic repertoire encompasses a wide spectrum, ranging from biblical art to abstract expressions. I set forth to challenge stereotypes, provoke thought, and to inspire.

"Jacob and the Ladder" portrays the biblical event in which Jacob slept upon a rock and had a divine encounter. As described in the biblical account, Jacob witnessed a ladder stretching from heaven to earth, with angels ascending and descending upon it. The artist skillfully captures this celestial event, providing a glimpse into the heavenly realm and its dynamics. Meanwhile, on the earthly plane, the artist depicts Jacob peacefully sleeping, with an angel of God positioned on the left, juxtaposed with the presence of the devil on the right. This symbolism represents the coexistence of God's will and the presence of evil as they intersect in the earthly realm.
