This illustration captures the epic battle between David and Goliath. I chose to only capture the hands of David as he prepares his sling. In this piece I also decided to not take the traditional approach of showing Goliath in his battle garb, but instead using his shadow to represent his intimidating presence.
The style of this piece was done to simulate the strong visual effect of a wood cut or linoleum print.
