The Biblical account of Jesus walking on water can be founding the New Testament of the Bible, specifically in the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 14. According to the narrative, Jesus's disciples were in a boat on the Sea of Galilee, and Jesus joined them by walking on the water. 

The viewer is given the perspective from above, looking down towards Jesus's feet. His body is reflected in the water, and he reaches down to grab the hand of the sinking disciple, Peter.
