Amidst the pervasive racism and unfair marginalization faced by people of African descent inner nation, the title of my artwork finds its roots in the Bible. It draws inspiration from Psalm 139:14, where David writs, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made," in direct contrast to the distorted depiction of Africa Americans, my artwork, specifically within the Wonderfully Made series, aims to exalt and honor our vibrant culture, rich heritage, and distinctive physical attributes, all of which are intricately fashioned by God Himself.

By referencing this biblical verse, my artwork serves  as a powerful counter-narrative, challenging the negative stereotypes and prejudices that persist in society. It seeks to foster a sense of pride, self-acceptance, and appreciation the diverse beauty found within the African American community. Through vibrant imagery and symbolism, the Wonderfully Made series celebrates the inherent worth and inherent dignity of every individual, encouraging viewers to recognize and value the inherent worth and dignity of all people, regardless of their racial or ethnic background.

Ultimately, my artwork aims to inspire a collective shift in perception, promoting a more inclusive and equitable society that embraces the uniqueness and inherent worth of every individual.
